Forest Bathing is known as Shinrin-Yoku. It originated in Japan in the 1980's as a way to counteract the stress of urban life and promote mental and physical well-being. The term Shinrin-Yoku translates to "Forest Bathing", which metaphorically implies bathing in the atmosphere of the forest.
